Congress begins

Post-sessional events

Roger Burt intends to lead a party (using their own transport) from Cornwall to Matlock, Derbyshire for the NAMHO Conference.
All travel, accommodation, food and entry fees to be paid by those following the itinerary below. It may be possible for those
without transport to travel with others who have their own cars.

Delegates who wish to take part in the following post-sessional events will need to contact Roger (r.burt@exeter.ac.uk)
by 1 April 2009.

Please note their is no 'organiser' charge for the post-sessional programme.

1pm: Congress ends.

Departure time to be confirmed

Car to Pontypool, South Wales.

Arrive Pontypool Travel Lodge (alternative Newport Travel Lodge or Pontypool Premier Inn).

Tuesday 16th June 2009

9am: Depart for Big Pit National Coal Museum

Lunch at Big Pit

2pm: Blaenavon Iron Works

5.30pm: arrive Swansea M4 Travel Lodge (alternative Swansea Central Travel Lodge or Premier Inn Swansea Central).

Wednesday 17th June 2009

9am: Depart for Swansea Copper District

12 noon: Depart for Dolaucothi Gold Mines

6pm: Arrive Ludlow Travel Lodge (alternative Ludlow Wooferton Travel Lodge).

Thursday 18th June 2009

9am: Depart for Ironbridge Gorge Museums or Snailbeach Lead Mining District.

6pm: Arrive Shrewsbury Bayston Hill Travel Lodge (alternative Telford Shawbirch Travel Lodge or Telford North Premier Inn).

Friday 19th June 2009

9am: Depart for Matlock. Numerous museums and other sites in the area.
